About Us
After a lifetime of being a pet owner and several years of being a successful business owner, I decided to merge the two passions of mine into one. My passion of interacting with animals grew to the point I knew that working with dogs and animals would be a wonderful way to make a living.
After conducting extensive research on how to become a responsible breeder of high quality Labrador Retrievers, I decided to venture out on my own. It was and still is my goal to offer lab lovers the finest combination of beauty and workmanship in Labrador Retrievers. My company, Warren Retrievers gradually developed not only a sound reputation for breeding but a sound reputation in the Richmond Dog Community for its top notch dog training abilities.
The training portion of our company covers many disciplines of training. This includes puppy and dog obedience/behavior training, retriever training incorporating the electronic dog collar and finished retriever dog training.
Our experience with electronic dog collars is what led us to the electronic pet containment industry and becoming a part of the Richmond Fence and Fredericksburg Fence industry. We have seen the effects of poor training with electronics on dogs in retriever training and dogs on the dog containment system. We have seen dogs become fearful, lose confidence and generally unsure of what to do. That makes a very unhappy life for the dog and his family.
We decided to research the pet containment systems in the industry and were blown away by the company we now represent … Contain-A-Pet Electronic Pet Fence Company. Contain-A-Pet was founded by dog training and behavior professionals back in 1995. They understand how to best train a dog (or a cat) so that it can run safely and happily in its yard. Better yet, Contain-A-Pet will only allow dog professionals to become a part of their company. This bodes well for everybody … the dog, the owner and the industry.
